On the foothills of the mystical Mount Banahaw, the quaint, historic town of Lucban Quezon is home to a hillside, life-size replica of the Way of the Cross alles Kamay ni Hesus (Hand of Jesus). It also hosts a Catholic Church and spiritual healing center. Lucban is some 3 hours away from manila. Lucban has nice spanish-era houses, cafes and a number of small restaurants. Its also known for making great pork sausages (longganisa)and baked goodies. Check out the patio rizal Hotel at the town plaza, and the Dealo coffee shop (Koffeeklatsch)and biscuit center. It's Quezon's tourist town! Try out the palaisdaan (fishpond) restaurant for regional Tagalog cuisine and grilled freshwater fish and meats , along with fern salad.
